Shutterbug Showcase

Fantastic Shutterbug Showcase post from ‘Clueless Birdie’ at the 101alumni yesterday. I didn’t miss it then but was stuck in the time warp that was…’Thursday Thoughts’ … and Guarav’s photo led to much unintended contemplation (and no seeking my own perspective with a photo yet – so I’m glad these run one to other. The original event promotions defined this event as also something to write along with, if not having the inclination to share a photo of your own. I might write something else later… but would love to see your own shutterbug response (to this, or past prompt inspirations)… (please visit the site linked below to take part or leave feedback for the original post, reblogged here). Have fun and enjoy!

Blogger's World!

Hi everyone,
The prompt for me was ‘Perspective’, shared by @arwen1968.
Thank you for the prompt.
Perspective was a difficult and a very interesting prompt.
My take on it is this image.

InShot_20160908_163057.jpgThere is a difference between how we see the world, and how he sees it. Even if we try to know his perspective on life, we shall never be able to understand it completely. Our life might be a rough road with many ups and downs, but his life is a constant struggle.

I hope I did a little justice to my prompt. This image has been clicked by Gaurav. (Can I please flaunt? 😛 my boyfriend) I asked him to share this image with me.
You can all join in by posting on the prompt ‘Perspective’ on your own blog before next Thursday (15th Sept) and leaving a link to your post in…

Readabookday (and Recycled Book Challenge)

Today was #readabookday and I marked that with a flit through a Gutenberg Project ebook of Goethe’s “Truth and Poetry: From My Life” (originally published in 1897). … I will come back to that at some point. But I am wondering on making more of the ‘Recycled Book Challenge’ than just reading a particular used book… when I pick it up again…

Given the following fact, I wonder why any of us might ever really need or want to make more books…

A glimpse of light (Shutterbug Showcase)

I’ve been meaning to get into the habit of keeping up with this #photopost event. The days and weeks fly by! Yesterday’s ShutterbugShowcase post is a gorgeous glimpse of light from Arwen1968.

I’m sharing two of my photos. The first, below, was taken during my first visit since her funeral to my mother’s resting place at the cemetery. I had been sheltering under the trees from heavy rain until the sun came out a little enough again.

My next photo, below, is to reflect “light at the end of the tunnel”, so to speak, with a nod again to Arwen1968 and her blog, and also remembering the previous week’s ‘Summer in the City’ prompt. This was my first visit to the park with my youngest grand-daughter – it was an English Bank holiday Monday – I even had to up and down a big wavy slide with her. I hadn’t been on a slide for ?how many years? So we had a fun afternoon and wore each other out 🙂

There’s still time to post for this prompt (Glimpse of light) if you’d like to join in with the Shutterbug Showcase event at Blogging101alumni.– the next prompt should be revealed on (or soon after) 8th September.
